Projection of “The Second Republic through pictures and sound”
Thursday 29 November 2007, at 7 pm (in the Escaldes-Engordany Business Centre building)
Documentary film recalling the historic period from 1931 to 1939. It runs through the political, social and cultural events of those years in Spain, centering on those which particularly affected Catalonia. The films and photographs are accompanied by sound recordings containing the voices of many of the leading figures of the time, including musicians, songs and commercials.
Address by José Carlos Suárez, professor of history of art at the Rovira Virgili University, where he teaches the subjects of 20th Century art, photography and the history of the cinema.
